John Phillips

John Phillips is a highly experienced engineer currently serving as the Lead Engineer for Stress on the DHC-515 Firefighter and Dash 8 aircraft at De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited since June 2019. With a robust background in stress analysis, John has held various positions at BOMBARDIER from January 1995 to May 2019, including Lead Engineer and Engineering Specialist for the Dash 8 and Stress Analyst for several Global aircraft models. Prior to BOMBARDIER, John worked at Magellan Aerospace Limited as a Design Engineer and began his career as a Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, focusing on composite structures and optimization. John holds a Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
