Sean Kropp

Aerospace Engineer at De-Ice

Sean Kropp has a diverse range of work experience in engineering and research roles. Their most recent role was as an Aerospace Engineer at De-Ice, where they designed and conducted tests for a de-icing system on a scale model aircraft wing. Sean also compiled a list of thermal interface materials and designed fasteners and connectors for the final system. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Intern at KVH Industries, Inc., where they created an engineering tool GUI and solved sizing problems with IMU units. Sean also simulated IMU output in MATLAB to understand noise in the system. Additionally, they had two research assistant roles at MIT, one focused on materials testing and the other on the variability of sEMG sensors for prosthetics. In these roles, they designed experiments, created MATLAB GUIs, and conducted data analysis. Sean also worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at MIT, where they assisted with lectures and graded assignments.

Sean Kropp attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
