Mathias Vercauteren

Mathias Vercauteren is an accomplished data governance expert and the founder of Data Vantage Consulting, established in 2021. As President and Principal, Mathias leads efforts to modernize data governance practices, enabling organizations to implement effective strategies in a fraction of the time traditionally required. In addition to consulting, Mathias serves as the Founder and Chairman of the Ethical Technology Institute, promoting the responsible use of technology in Europe. With extensive experience in various roles, including Senior Data Governance Consultant and Trainer, Mathias has contributed to organizations such as De Lijn, MSC PSA European Terminal, and Securex, focusing on enhancing data governance capabilities. A recognized speaker, Mathias has presented at the Data Governance & Information Quality Conference and holds a Master of Science in Business Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Ghent University.
