David Rae

David Rae is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship within higher education. Currently serving as Professor Emeritus at De Montfort University since September 2023, David continues to collaborate on various projects, including the development of The Policy Unit and research on Inclusive Entrepreneurship. Previously, David held significant roles such as Associate Dean for Research & Innovation and Professor of Enterprise at De Montfort University, as well as Executive Dean at Bishop Grosseteste University and Dean of the Shannon School of Business at Cape Breton University. David's academic contributions are complemented by leadership roles in prominent organizations, including serving as Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research and as Vice-President for Education for the Institute of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. David holds a PhD in Entrepreneurial Learning from Nottingham Trent University.
