Mehmet Sabir Kiraz

Mehmet Sabir Kiraz is a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and Program Leader of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at De Montfort University since November 2018. Previously, Mehmet served as a Senior Researcher at nChain, focusing on Bitcoin SV, and was the Director of the Blockchain Research Lab at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM from August 2017 to November 2018. Additionally, from May 2014 to November 2018, Mehmet was an Associate Professor and Unit Head at Mathematical and Computational Science Labs at TÜBİTAK BILGEM, also managing a project on secure cloud storage. As a visiting lecturer at Istanbul Sehir University and Middle East Technical University, Mehmet taught cryptographic protocols to master's and PhD students. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Researcher contributing to various projects in cryptography at TÜBİTAK BILGEM and positions as a software/test engineer and test coordinator in the industry. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cryptography from Eindhoven University of Technology and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Max-Planck Institute.
