Swati Virmani

Swati Virmani is an experienced academic currently serving as the Deputy Head (Academic) and Senior Lecturer in Economics at De Montfort University since February 2019, after a period as a Lecturer in Economics. Prior to this role, Swati held positions at The University of Huddersfield as a Research Assistant and at Lancaster University Management School as a Teaching Associate. Experience also includes work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester and as a Research Analyst at the Institute of Economic Growth in Delhi. In early career, Swati was a Researcher at Oakland University in Michigan. Holding a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester, a Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and a BA in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Swati Virmani has a strong academic foundation in the field of economics.
