Howard Salis is an Associate Professor at Penn State University where Howard develops predictive design methods for engineering synthetic biological organisms. Howard is also the Founder of DE NOVO DNA, a spin-off company from the Salis Lab, focused on developing accurate web-based design methods for DNA. Prior to this, Howard was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco and a Research Intern at Medarex. Howard holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University.
