Tom van der Velpen

Tom van der Velpen possesses extensive experience in social support and community engagement. Currently serving as a Huisbezoeker at Stichting Samen Is Niet Alleen since November 2022, Tom focuses on reaching individuals in need of assistance. Simultaneously, Tom works as a Workshop Instructor at De Regenboog Groep, providing training on housing searches for economically disadvantaged individuals. Prior roles include Projectmedewerker Onder de Pannen, where Tom facilitated safe housing solutions in Amsterdam, and Coordinator for an emergency shelter for the homeless. Previous experience includes working as a Media Guru at Gigstarter, a marketplace for booking live music, and serving as a Marketing Assistant with Youth on the Move Kenya. Tom holds a Master's degree in Persuasive Communication from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
