Kevin Berns

Kevin Berns is an experienced educator and media professional with a diverse background in journalism and geological consulting. Currently serving as the Publications Adviser at De Smet Jesuit High School since August 2015, Kevin oversees the newspaper, yearbook, and digital media programs. Prior to this role, Kevin taught journalism and coordinated UIL activities at Robert E. Lee High School, and held various positions at Longview High School, where responsibilities included teaching Journalism I, Creative Writing, and coaching UIL Journalism. Kevin's earlier career includes working as a Well Site Geologic Consultant with Well-Tech Geologic Services from 2007 to 2009 and serving in multiple roles at KLTV from 1997 to 2007, including News/Sports Anchor and Sports Director. Kevin holds a BA in Media Communications from Webster University and attended Drake University.
