Michiel D. has extensive experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as a member of the executive board and CEO of Achmea Schade & Inkomen at Achmea since March 2014. Michiel also holds positions as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at de Nederlandse Pool voor Verzekering van Atoomrisico’s and a member of the Supervisory Board/ARC at de Vereende since June 2014. Previous roles include Director at Achmea Schadeverzekeringen and Delta Lloyd Schadeverzekering N.V., as well as management positions at ABN AMRO Verzekeringen. Michiel D. possesses a law degree in International Economic Law from Leiden University and has undergone various executive programs, including studies at IMD and the University of Cape Town.
