Sem Vrooman

Sem Vrooman has extensive experience in urban design, currently serving as a Stedenbouwkundige and Stedenbouwkundig ontwerper at De Zwarte Hond since February 2019. Prior roles include Assistant Ontwerper Stedenbouw at Gemeente Rotterdam - Stadsontwikkeling from November 2016 to February 2019, and a Stedenbouwkundig ontwerper during an internship at the same institution in early 2015, focusing on adaptive development in the Merwe-Vierhaven area. Earlier experience includes a seven-month internship at ECHO Urban Design from September 2013 to April 2014. Sem Vrooman holds a Master of Science in Stedenbouw from the Rotterdamse Academie van Bouwkunst, completed in March 2022, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Urban Design from Breda University of Applied Sciences, earned in 2015. Education was initiated at Rudolf Steiner College, achieving VWO in Cultuur & Maatschappij in 2011.
