Will Groothuysen

Will Groothuysen is a seasoned stedenbouwkundige with extensive experience in urban design and planning. Currently, Will serves as a stedenbouwkundige at Gemeente Land van Cuijk since January 2023 and has been an Urban Designer at Ur2d since January 2000. Additionally, Will leads a private practice focused on bestemmingsplannen, stedenbouwkundig ontwerp en advies, and feasibility studies. Involved in community initiatives, Will has been the Secretary of Energiecoöperatie Bernheze since January 2013 and has contributed to various municipalities, including Gemeente Valkenswaard and Gemeente Gemert-Bakel, in roles such as stedenbouwkundige and advisor on spatial quality. Will's earlier experience includes chairing a working group on traffic and serving as the chair of the jury for a design competition aimed at affordable housing for young adults. Will holds degrees in urban design from the Academie van Bouwkunst and the Academie voor toegepaste kunsten Maastricht.
