Kasey Symons

Kasey Symons is a seasoned professional in communication and sports media, currently serving as a Lecturer of Communication - Sports Media at Deakin University since February 2024. Kasey is also a Co-Founder of Siren: a women in sport collective, established in February 2020. Previously, Kasey held the position of Director at Fitzroy Football Club, managing marketing and communications from November 2019 to February 2024. Kasey contributed as a Research Fellow in the Sport Innovation Research Group at Swinburne University of Technology from May 2019 to February 2024, focusing on sport and social impact and fan engagement. Prior roles include Commercial Marketing Communications Manager at Western Bulldogs and Communications Coordinator at the Australian Football League. Kasey's educational background includes a PhD in Sport and Gender from Victoria University and a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching from Swinburne University of Technology.
