Kevin O'Rourke

Kevin O'Rourke has a diverse work experience in the marketing and advertising industry. Kevin started their career at Mercury Marine, where they held the position of Special Markets Manager. Kevin was responsible for marketing and sales coordination for marine products, focusing on special markets, government, and inflatable boat segments.

From there, O'Rourke moved on to Yamaha Motor Canada as the National Sales and Marketing Manager for Parts and Accessories. In this role, they oversaw the marketing, promotion, and sales coordination of recreational and leisure products to the national dealer network. O'Rourke also handled the management of a team of seven sales staff and organized annual product knowledge seminars and sales training for Canadian dealers.

Next, O'Rourke joined Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada as the National Marketing Manager. In this position, they managed marketing and branding execution, including digital strategies, database management, online initiatives, and dealer point of sale materials. O'Rourke also took charge of the Customer Experience Management and CRM efforts, aiming to establish an emotional connection between the brand and customers.

Following their tenure at Mitsubishi, O'Rourke transitioned to Maritz Canada as the Director of Digital and Direct, focusing on the Ford Account. Kevin developed strategies in digital, online, social media, and direct marketing to enhance customer and dealer experiences. O'Rourke played a key role in keeping Ford Motor Company as the market share leader in Canada.

O'Rourke then joined Target for its Canadian market launch as a Senior Manager of Media and Marketing Strategy. Kevin contributed to building the fastest growing Facebook fan page in Canada and helped establish Target in the Canadian retail landscape.

At Mazda Canada Inc, O'Rourke served as the National Manager of Marketing. Kevin developed strategies for customer retention, sales, and marketing, emphasizing digital marketing, CMS, website development, and app creation. O'Rourke also focused on creating relevant and informative direct communications and point of sale materials.

After their time at Mazda, O'Rourke joined Bell Media as the Client Strategy Lead for the Automotive vertical. In this role, they were responsible for developing media strategies for automotive clients, building partnerships, and driving automotive OEM brand consideration through various platforms such as TV, radio, app, OOH, and digital.

Following Bell Media, O'Rourke worked at Pelmorex Corp as a Client Partner for the Automotive industry. Kevin led the growth of digital, data, mobile, and broadcast advertising revenue, providing industry expertise and acting as a thought leader for clients. O'Rourke represented Pelmorex as a key partner in the Canadian market.

Prior to their current role, O'Rourke was at Snap Inc. where they served as the Vertical Lead for Automotive & Alc Bev. Kevin connected creative ideas with target audiences and oversaw innovative ad products for large advertisers in Canada. O'Rourke specialized in selling advertising solutions to auto clients, alc-bev clients, and CPG clients through agencies and client-direct channels.

Currently, O'Rourke is working at Dealers United as the VP - Country Manager, Canada. Kevin is part of the leadership team tasked with bringing the company's SAAS services into Canada. O'Rourke focuses on driving omnichannel social media ad innovation for Canadian auto dealers, agencies, and OEMs. Kevin also provides marketing and PR assessments, develops business cases, and demonstrates superior analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

Kevin O'Rourke attended Durham College from 1990 to 1993, where they pursued a degree in Sports Management and Marketing. Kevin then enrolled at the Disney Institute from 2014 to 2016, focusing on Leadership Excellence and Customer Experience.
