Maria Leonard

Maria Leonard has a wealth of experience in the art and technology space. Maria began their career in 2017 as a Co-Founder, Researcher and Writer at DEATH.io. In 2019, they took on the role of Networks Co-ordinator and Facilitator at Tech For Good UK, funded by Dot Project. That same year, they also became a Progression Mentor at African Gifted Foundation. In 2020, they were hired as Editor In Chief and Digital Editor at Qisetna, as well as Director, Curator and Researcher at Invented Futures. In 2022, they were hired as a Visiting Lecturer at Universität der Künste Berlin, Course Leader at Bishopsgate Institute and Facilitator at Theatre Deli. Finally, in 2023, they were hired as a Curator at Goethe-Institut New York.

Maria Leonard holds a degree in Literature, Philosophy and Logic from the University of Bristol. Maria also attended Gumley School in Hounslow, West London. Leonard has obtained certifications from One World Media in the UK for International Reporting Essentials - Print and Audio (2021), Saifi Institute for Arabic Language in Beirut for Urban Arabic (Levant), Modern Standard Arabic 2 (2017), Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) for Copyediting; Proofreading 1 & 2, and International House London for Lower Intermediate Arabic.
