Karthik Alapati is an aspiring artificial intelligence professional with a background in machine learning and software development. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Machine Learning Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Karthik has contributed to significant advancements in labeling driver behavior from video data and reducing noise in time series sensor data. Karthik also holds a Machine Learning Intern position focusing on Generative AI and Natural Language Processing at Lillup and has been an Open Source Contributor to Debian, maintaining multiple packages. Previous experience includes being a founding member at Arlarse and a Linux Kernel Developer Mentee at The Linux Foundation, where Karthik successfully proposed patches and fixed bugs in the Linux kernel. Karthik is pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.
