Jeannette Fuchs is a seasoned scientist with a robust background in oncology and cancer biology. Currently serving as a Scientist at Debiopharm since September 2020, Jeannette has previously held roles as Associate Scientist and Scientific Fellow in Biomarker Development at the same company. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral research position at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, focusing on data mining and validation studies of CRISPR screens in mammalian cancer cells in Susan Gasser's lab. Jeannette's postdoctoral work at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research involved drug development biology and CRISPR sensitizer screens in human melanoma cells. A PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology was obtained from the Philipp University of Marburg, following a Diploma in Zoology & Genetics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and an Abitur focused on Biology and French from Markgrafen Gymnasium Karlsruhe.
