Lela Day

Lela Day has extensive work experience in various roles related to education and human resources. Lela currently holds the position of Director of People Operations at Deca Development Group, an Evergreen Services Group Company, a role they began in November 2022. Prior to this, Lela worked at Riverside Insights from October 2020 to November 2022 as a Talent Acquisition / People Insights Manager. From 2013 to 2020, they worked at Noble Schools, where they held multiple roles including Special Education Department Chair, Special Education Teacher & Service Provider, and 11th Grade Level Dean. In 2020, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Braven. Earlier in their career, from June 2019 to August 2019, they served as a Research and Evaluation External Assessor at After School Matters. Lela began their career as a Corps Member with Teach For America in June 2013 and held this role until June 2015.

Lela Day obtained their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Toledo between 2010 and 2013. Subsequently, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching at National Louis University.
