James Cook

James Cook has extensive experience in emergency services, currently serving as a Firefighter/AEMT with both the Sansom Park Fire Department and the Decatur Fire Department since March 2022. Cook has also held positions as an Advanced EMT at Knox County Hospital District since September 2021 and as a Firefighter at PARKER COUNTY ESD #1 from February 2020 to December 2021. Previous firefighting experience includes a tenure at the City of Vernon from July 2008 to February 2020. In education, Cook is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Emergency Management at West Texas A&M University and holds an Associate's degree in Fire Protection from Weatherford College, along with further studies in fire administration and emergency medical services. Cook completed high school education at Hereford High School, earning a diploma in 2004.
