Anusha Rao is a columnist at Deccan Herald since August 2020 and serves as Blog Manager and Research Assistant for the Practices of Commentary Project, which focuses on global perspectives of historical commentary. Additionally, Anusha is the Project Manager for Argument and Counter Argument in Early Modern Vedanta, a collaborative initiative between the University of Toronto and Manipal Academy for Higher Education, aimed at exploring Vedanta texts with esteemed scholars. Anusha has experience as a Sessional Lecturer in Sanskrit at the University of British Columbia and has contributed to the Indian Philosophy Blog. Prior roles include being a Content Editor for the PANDiT Project. Anusha is a PhD candidate in Religion/Religious Studies at the University of Toronto (2019-2024) and holds an MA in Eastern Religions from the University of Calgary, an MA in English from Widya Dharma University, and a BA in English Language and Literature from Mount Carmel College Bangalore.
