Doug Cates

Doug Cates is a seasoned Principal Hardware Engineer at deciBel Research, Inc., with a focus on designing and implementing networks for the Launch and Test Range Systems Integrated Support Contract. Cates has extensive experience in network engineering, having served as a contractor for NASA’s Launch Services Program and held positions at Harris Corporation, Williams Communications, and MetroPCS, where responsibilities included maintaining multi-vendor networks and troubleshooting various communication systems. Cates also has a solid foundation in satellite communications through roles in the US Army and earlier positions at Intelsat and PanAmSat. Cates holds a Bachelor's and an Associate's degree in Computer Science from the University of Management and Technology, along with specialized training in satellite systems.
