Pedro Teixeira

Pedro Teixeira has over 10 years of experience in software engineering. In 2010, they began their career as a Software Engineer at Avallain. In 2011, they were a Programmer at Trade2Win. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Software Engineer at Nodejitsu Inc. and a Co-founder at The Node Firm, where they delivered private and public Node.js workshops and crafted workshop materials. In 2013, they were a Platform Developer at BrowserSwarm and a Software Engineer at CrowdProcess. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Partner and CTO, Chief Futurist, Software Architect Consultant, Project Manager, and Team Leader at YLD. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Software Engineer at Protocol Labs, where they created and directed the Dynamic Data and Capabilities team, and researched and guided research in CRDTs and Decentralised Identity. In 2020, they were the CTO of the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute - Madeira Covid project, where they led the team that created the Madeira Safe app and system. Currently, they are the CTO at Decipad.

Pedro Teixeira completed their secondary education at Escola Secundária Francisco Franco from 1990 to 1993. Pedro then attended IST - Instituto Superior Tecnico from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained an Engineer degree in Computer and Informatics Engineering.
