Ricardo Gonzalez Amaya has extensive work experience in the field of IT compliance and quality assurance. Ricardo began their career as a Programmer at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, where they worked on Y2K conversions for software packages. Ricardo then moved on to Telcordia Technologies, where they served as a Software Engineer and Developer, leading multiple projects and coordinating the development phase. At Boston Scientific, Ricardo worked as a Senior Software Quality Engineer, providing guidance to project teams and serving as a representative on the Software Quality Steering Committee. Ricardo then joined HeartWare Inc as a Principal Software QA Engineer, where they led the development and design verification of medical device software and created standardized SOPs. Ricardo continued their career at TESARO, Inc as an Associate Director, overseeing IT QA and contributing to strategic planning. Ricardo was later promoted to a Senior Manager, responsible for implementing the Quality Program for regulated computerized systems. Currently, Ricardo works at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals as a Director, responsible for IT compliance and as a IT Business Partner for validated systems.

Ricardo Gonzalez Amaya obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of New Orleans, studying from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, they received ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer certification from ASQ.
