Shashi Bhushan, MD has a diverse work experience in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Junior Resident and later a Research Officer at AIIMS. Shashi then pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Emory University before joining LSU Health Shreveport as a Fellow in the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bhushan then worked at Pfizer as a Senior Scientist in the Department of Internal Medicine. Shashi later joined IQVIA as a Sr Medical Safety Advisor before transitioning to Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. There, they held roles as an Associate Medical Director and later a Medical Director in the field of Pharmacovigilance. Currently, they are employed at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals as a Medical Director in Pharmacovigilance.
Shashi Bhushan, MD attended AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi) from 1998 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree. Shashi also obtained certifications in FDA eCTD Overview and Submission from FDA, Certified MedDRA coder (CMC) from MedDRA MSSO, Signal Detection and Causality Assessment from Uppsala Monitoring Centre, and completed a course on Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials in 2017. Shashi is also a certified Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Additionally, Shashi Bhushan obtained further training in statistical reasoning and algorithms in pharmacovigilance from Uppsala Monitoring Centre.
