Shelly Outwater

Shelly Outwater, SHRM-CP, has over 20 years of experience in various senior HR roles. Shelly is currently working as the Associate Director of Human Resources at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, they served as the Associate Director of Human Resources at Sumitomo Pharma Oncology, where they played a key role in developing a culture of engagement and addressing employee relations matters. Shelly also implemented a successful learning and development strategy. Earlier in their career, Shelly held managerial positions at Stallergenes Greer and Springboard Education in America, where they focused on executive support, strategic communications, and employee relations. Shelly began their career at SHIFT Communications, where they achieved significant growth and was promoted to the position of Vice President of Account Services. Shelly's extensive experience has equipped their with a strong skill set in talent management, leadership development, and HR strategy.

Shelly Outwater, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising/Communications from Johnson & Wales University. Shelly also completed a Certificate Program in Early Education, Research, Policy, and Practice from UMass Boston. Furthermore, they obtained a Masters of Education degree from Lesley University. In addition to their educational background, Shelly Outwater has obtained several certifications, including the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from the Society for Human Resource Management, Strategic Human Resources from LinkedIn, and Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach from Gallup.
