Dan Owen

Dan Owen has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and information technology management. Dan is the current Director of IT and Information Security at Decision Sciences since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Truvian as the Director of IT from May 2021 to October 2022. Before Truvian, Dan held various roles at Zego (Powered by PayLease) from July 2015 to May 2021, including Director of IT Operations and IT Systems Manager. Dan also served as a Senior Systems Engineer at The San Diego Union Tribune from February 2013 to July 2015. Dan's earlier experience includes working as an Information Technology Manager and System Administrator at T.B. Penick and Sons, Inc. from April 2006 to February 2013. Dan started their career at DMA Housing as a Senior Coordinator from July 2003 to April 2006, providing technical support and system maintenance.

Dan Owen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UC San Diego, where they studied from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Science Studies at Palomar College from 1998 to 2001. In 2015, they also earned the certification as a VMware Certified Associate - Data Center Virtualization from VMware.
