Bruce Hopkins

Bruce Hopkins is currently the CFO at DecisivEdge. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior SAS Analyst at Virgin Mobile USA from January 2003 to March 2004. In this role, they performed marketing analysis of telecommunications services using customer activation and call data. Bruce also developed automated data extraction and reporting procedures designed to handle large volumes of data on a regular basis. Additionally, they instituted procedures to easily present and distribute the results of analyses to end users. As the senior SAS programmer, they also mentored and trained other users as required.

Before their time at Virgin Mobile USA, Bruce was a Senior Data Consultant at The Permanente Medical Group from July 2001 to December 2002. In this role, they developed, optimized and maintained several company-wide interactive financial reporting systems in SAS, DB2 and ISPF on an MVS platform. Bruce also supported financial analysts at medical facilities with programming and data analysis assistance. Additionally, they functioned as the senior programmer within the group, providing junior team members with programming and system-related technical guidance. Furthermore, they facilitated classes for new SAS programmers and performed preliminary development of a Web-based interface to the MVS-based reporting environment using Perl. Lastly, they performed ad hoc programming as required.

Bruce Hopkins graduated from the University of Delaware with a BSME in Mechanical Engineering.
