Senior Software Engineer at Deck Commerce

Cameron McIlvaine has been working in the software engineering field since 2012. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at CWT as a Software Engineer, Associate Software Engineer, and Programmer. During this time, they worked on the Document Bank system building front ends for internal sites and creating back end systems to handle data processing. Cameron also enhanced existing systems through SQL improvements and multi-threading enhancements as well as created a two-part system to automatically determine refundability on air tickets. Currently, Cameron is employed at Deck Commerce as a Software Engineer II and Software Engineer. Prior to this, they were self-employed as a Computer Repair Technician, where they would take clients needs and budget for a personal computer and design and build the machine for them. Cameron would also repair and clean software and hardware for clients, as well as provide over the phone tech support for software and hardware troubleshooting.

Cameron McIlvaine began their educational journey in 2008 at Saint Louis Community College, where they studied General Studies until 2010. Cameron then attended Missouri State University from 2010 to 2012, where they studied Computer Science. In 2016, they completed a course in Computer Programming, Specific Applications at Launch Code St. Louis CS50x. Additionally, in 2020 Cameron obtained certifications from LinkedIn in OWASP Top 10: #1 Injection and #2 Broken Authentication, OWASP Top 10: #3 Sensitive Data Exposure and #4 External Entities (XXE), OWASP Top 10: #5 Broken Access Control and #6 Security Misconfiguration, OWASP Top 10: #7 XSS and #8 Insecure Deserialization, OWASP Top 10: #9 Components with Known Vulnerabilities and #10 Insufficient Logging and Monitoring, as well as a Launch Code CS50x certification.
