Patrick Faith

Co-Founder, Chief Science Officer & Director at Deep Labs

Patrick Faith's distinguished career spans over three decades of creating next generation technology capabilities in the Payments, Defense, and Intelligence sectors. Faith currently serves as Deep Labs' Chief Science and Technology Officer providing thought leadership, direction and hands-on development on Deep Labs' extreme-scale data and processing platforms.

Prior to co-founding Deep Labs, Faith served as the Chief Technology Advisor for Visa Labs, the advanced Research and technology incubation arm of Visa Inc. In this capacity, he established an incubator and two global research facilities. His leadership in implementing the first Hadoop systems at Visa directly led to the creation of the Visa Central Analytics Environment which all of Visa's Fraud and Data Product capabilities leverage. Faith holds the most patents in Visa Inc. history and was most recently awarded his 167th patent. In 2014, Visa Inc. named Faith Distinguished Engineer and Fellow. This title, the first and only of its kind at Visa Inc., represented the culmination of two decades of technology leadership in the Banking and Payments spaces.

Prior to Visa, Faith operated as a lead developer at Lockheed Martin's Advanced Development Programs primarily serving the US Defense and Intelligence Communities. In this role, Faith participated in the capability development of Artificial Intelligence systems, robotics, virtual reality, material science and sensor networks.
