Matthias Jungwirth has diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Matthias began their career as an Emergency Medical Technician and First Aid Instructor at the Austrian Red Cross. Later, they worked as a Consulting Intern at Kloepfel Consulting GmbH. At Aker Solutions - Aker Process Systems, they participated in the International Talent Programme, completing assignments in strategy and finance across different locations. Matthias then joined Fjords Processing, where they served as a Strategic Advisor to the CFO and later became the Finance Manager for the Americas region. After that, they moved on to National Oilwell Varco, where they held positions as the Director of Finance (Global Wellstream Processing) and Director of Commercial and Strategic Developments. Currently, they are employed at DeepOcean as the Director of M&A and Corporate Development and previously held the position of Corporate Projects Director.

Matthias Jungwirth completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business, Economics and Social Sciences from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) during the period of 2007 to 2011. In 2010, they also participated in an exchange semester at the University of Alberta, focusing on Business/Commerce. Later, from 2012 to 2013, Matthias pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick.
