Pina Fritz, PhD

Pina Fritz, PhD has a diverse work experience. Pina started their career in 2014 as a Teaching Assistant at ETH, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Laboratory of Food and Nutrition Toxicology. Pina then worked as a Visiting Student at Harvard University. In 2015, they worked as a Trainee at Food Concept & Physical Design 'The Mill', and as a Research Project Manager & PhD Candidate at both Nanyang Technological University and Food Process Engineering; Chair group of Wageningen University & Research. Here, they scoped and led a 300,000 EUR research project to develop a novel electrochemical separation technology, managed collaborations with industry partners, supervised 11 BSc and MSc students, presented their research at 5 conferences and in 7 papers, and secured funding for a follow-up project. In 2020, they worked as a Process Engineer at Hydrell, and in 2021 they worked as a Head of Scoping Climate and Climate Associate for New Opportunities at Deep Science Ventures, and as an Analyst (Side Project) at both StartLife and Octopus Ventures.

Pina Fritz, PhD obtained their Europäisches Abitur from Europäische Schule Karlsruhe in 1996-2008. Pina then went on to obtain their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science from ETH Zürich in 2009-2012. During that time, they also attended National University of Singapore in 2012. Following that, they obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Food Process Engineering from ETH Zürich in 2012-2014. Pina then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from both Nanyang Technological University Singapore and Wageningen University & Research in 2015-2019. Most recently, they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2020-2021.
