Alex Petre

Alex Petre is a seasoned executive currently serving as Vice President of Site Operations at Deep Sky since September 2024. In addition, Alex has been an Angel Investor at Wild.AI since June 2020, contributing to research focused on gender identity through the WILD app. Prior roles include Vice President of Operations at Bird from December 2023 to September 2024, and Chief Operating Officer at Bird Canada from August 2019 to September 2024. Alex also held positions at BlackRock as Vice President of Financial Markets Advisory, Accenture as Strategy Consultant, and babajob as Business Development Associate. Early career experience includes roles at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC, and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Alex holds a Master of Science in Development Studies from the University of Oxford, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Politics from both Queen's University and the National University of Singapore.
