Joost Ouwerkerk

Joost Ouwerkerk is a Co-Founder at Deep Sky, where Joost focuses on accelerating the development of large-scale carbon dioxide removal in Canada to combat climate change. Prior to Deep Sky, Joost co-founded Hopper, a consumer mobile app and B2B platform for travel booking. At Creative Destruction Lab, Joost served as the Head of B2B Engineering and as a Fellow. Joost also worked as a Product Manager at Expedia, where Joost developed the API platform for the hotel supply network. Joost's early career included roles as a Software Developer at Newtrade Technologies and Netvention Inc. Joost holds a BA from McGill University, an MA from the University of Amsterdam, and a DESS in Software Engineering from École de technologie supérieure.
