Previously, Malay held the position of President & Group Head - Projects at Deepak Group Co, successfully executing $250 million worth of chemical sector projects and establishing standard operating practices for project delivery. Experience at Larsen & Toubro included General Manager & Head of Portfolio Management, managing EPC for refining and petrochemical projects valued at over $2 billion. Earlier roles included Project Manager for a coal gasification plant at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., Project Delivery Manager at Shell where successful delivery initiatives saved 30% in costs, and Deputy Project Manager at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. Malay holds degrees from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
