Gyeongsu Chae

Gyeongsu Chae has a diverse work experience. Gyeongsu is currently the CTO and Director of Research at DeepBrain AI (formerly MoneyBrain) Inc., where they lead a deep learning team. At DeepBrain AI, they developed the first commercialized photorealistic lip sync video synthesis model in Korea and worked on various cutting-edge face synthesis technologies. Prior to this, Gyeongsu Chae co-founded Neurogazer Inc. in 2013, a bio/tech startup focused on analyzing human brain imaging data and providing development, health, and aging information of the brain. At Neurogazer, they developed data processing pipelines, statistical analysis tools, and machine learning models. Additionally, Gyeongsu Chae has experience as a composer and guitarist for the experimental music duo Pink Moon. Gyeongsu also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Vanderbilt University in 2011.

Gyeongsu Chae has pursued a diverse education history. They completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology from Seoul National University. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution. Gyeongsu Chae furthered their studies by pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Psychology at Seoul National University. Despite not completing their PhD, they made progress towards a PhD in Brain & Cognitive Sciences at Seoul National University.
