Pat Alderson

Pat Alderson has had a diverse work experience in the information and technology industry. They currently work as a Sales Director at DeepDyve since January 2021. Prior to that, Pat worked as a Pharmaceutical Solutions Consultant at QxMD from February 2019.

For the majority of their career, Pat worked at Reprints Desk, first as a Senior Consultant, New Sales, North America, from November 2014 to July 2016, and then as an Enterprise Sales Director, North America, from July 2016 to September 2018. In this role, they managed the Enterprise Sales staff and assisted medical affairs and R&D in building scientific literature retrieval systems.

Before Reprints Desk, Pat worked as a Literature Consultant at ProQuest Information from 2008 to 2013. Preceding that, from 2006 to 2007, they served as the Eastern Region Sales Manager at Infotrieve. Pat had an extended tenure at Thomson Reuters, where they worked as an Account Manager from 2000 to 2006.

Additionally, Pat held positions as an Information Professional Support Consultant and Sales Executive at LexisNexis from 1992 to 1999. They also worked as a Librarian and End User Services Coordinator at Travelers Insurance Company from 1988 to 1992.

Early in their career, Pat gained experience as a Summer Intern at Dow Chemical Company in 1988, where they designed an end-user workstation and wrote technical documentation for its use, further developing their knowledge of chemical structure searching and marketing end user services.

Pat Alderson attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Library Science. Before attending Indiana University, Pat Alderson completed their high school education at Richmond Senior High School.
