Catarina Carvalho

Catarina Carvalho is a Senior Data Scientist at Deeper Insights since November 2020, previously holding the position of Data Scientist. Catarina taught practical classes as a Teaching Assistant Professor for Introduction to Scientific Programming at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from September 2017 to June 2022. Prior to this, Catarina worked as a Researcher in biomedical engineering at INESC Technology and Science, focusing on machine learning approaches for biomedical imaging while mentoring a master's student. Catarina completed a Ph.D. in Image Processing at KU Leuven, where responsibilities included planning and executing image-related workflows, developing clinical applications, and collaborating with various partners. Catarina possesses a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Medical Instrumentation.
