Tomas Simutis

Tomas Simutis has work experience in the field of software engineering and data science. Tomas started their career as a Software Developer Intern at Factobotics in 2019, where they implemented communication rules between the software interface and the robot controller for an industrial overhead transport robot. Tomas successfully presented a live robot demo to the shareholders at the end of their internship.

In 2021, Tomas worked as a Data Scientist at Care4U Technologies, where they created a clustering-based system for generating health care plans for senior citizens. Tomas also developed a website prototype to showcase the system using Python, scikit-learn, and Django.

Currently, Tomas is employed as an Embedded Software Engineer at Deeper, UAB. In this role, they are responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and testing embedded firmware for new and existing Deeper products in the R&D team. Tomas also develops and uses tools to analyze firmware functionality, performance, and quality.

Tomas Simutis completed their Master of Science degree in Robotics & AI from the University of Glasgow from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Warwick from 2017 to 2020. Tomas also attended Vilniaus jėzuitų gimnazija, also known as Vilnius Jesuit Gymnasium, from 2009 to 2017, although it is unclear whether they obtained a specific degree or field of study from this institution.
