Scott Oberg has worked in the software engineering field since 2000. From 2000 to 2001, they were a Software Engineer at AmericomUSA, where they analyzed existing Ad delivery systems and designed and developed the next generation implementation. From 2001 to 2017, they worked at Eternal Systems as a Java Architect, designing a product to provide real, no single point of failure, fault tolerance for Enterprise Java Beans and J2EE services. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Principal Engineer at Layered Insight. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Principal Engineer at Qualys. Currently, they are a Chief Architect at Deepfactor, where they are responsible for runtime instrumentation of VMs, containers & kubernetes pods via mutation webhook, portal/backend workloads in kubernetes, CI build & test in GitHub & Jenkins, and Helm deployments in staging and prod. Additionally, they have worked on numerous client private, DoD and government programs, including DARPA RADICS, DARPA SHIELD, a decentralized P2P communications network & app, and system & security architecture.

Scott Oberg obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo between 1996 and 2000.
