Shyam K.

Shyam K. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Shyam co-founded and served as the VP of Engineering at deepfence Inc, where they participated in the Co-Sell program with Microsoft. Shyam also worked as a Technical Advisor at GreenSwapp.

In their role as the Director of Engineering at LiveReach Media, Shyam was responsible for building an automated exchange for digital out of home advertising. Shyam led a team in converting a presentation into a viable product, implementing the first proof of concept (POC), and leveraging IoT and big data analysis to provide near real-time and fine-grained metrics for advertising campaigns.

Prior to LiveReach Media, Shyam worked as a Staff Engineer at Juniper Networks, an Engineer at Sierraware, and a Technical Manager at Xerox India Engineering Center. Shyam also served as a Technical Lead at Cisco, where they designed and implemented a scalable Powerkey Conditional Access Gateway for encrypting video broadcasts.

Earlier in their career, Shyam worked at Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd in various roles, including Lead Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Shyam focused on developing device drivers for TI's OMAP range, while also fostering a technical learning environment for their colleagues through activities such as paper reading and writing sessions.

Shyam K. began their education at the University of Madras in 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Shyam completed their undergraduate studies in 1997. Following this, Shyam attended the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Master of Computer Applications degree in Computer Science. Finally, Shyam pursued a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 2003 to 2006.
