Julia Strout

Julia Strout is a Deep Learning Engineer at Deepgram since January 2021, with prior experience as a Machine Learning Scientist at CCDS, focusing on NLP and computer vision deep learning models in radiology. Julia's background includes research as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where work involved Explainable AI and Visual Question Answering, as well as time spent as a Data Science Intern at Chevron, developing predictive models for the crude oil market. Other experiences include collaborations as an Undergraduate Researcher at the National Science Foundation and roles in web development and research in computer graphics and digital humanities. Julia holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina.
