Bryan Haslam

Bryan Haslam has a work experience spanning over a decade. Bryan started their career as a Summer Research Intern at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2006. Bryan then worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2008. In 2008 and 2009, Bryan served as a Visiting Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Bryan joined MIT in 2012 and worked as an Operations Management Graduate Researcher until 2013. Bryan then took on the role of Marketing Fellow at the MIT Technology Licensing Office from 2012 to 2013. During this time, they also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Tsinghua University in 2011.

From 2014 to 2017, Bryan worked as an Innovation Teams Teaching Assistant at MIT School of Engineering. In 2017, they founded Haslam Consulting, where they worked as a Technical Consultant until December 2018. In this role, Bryan conducted inspections, performed analyses, and wrote reports for various projects.

Bryan pursued their PhD at MIT from 2013 to 2019, during which they held the positions of Researcher Affiliate and Machine Learning and Innovation Graduate Researcher. Bryan studied the effects of disease variance on machine learning and received prestigious fellowships from the National Science Foundation and the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduation.

In 2018, Bryan joined DeepHealth as a Data Scientist. Bryan later became the Lead Data Scientist before taking on the role of Chief Product Officer in September 2019.

Bryan Haslam obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University from 2004 to 2008. Bryan then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing it from 2009 to 2011. Following this, Bryan joined Harvard Medical School from 2010 to 2012 to obtain a Certificate in Medical Engineering. Finally, they further pursued their education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 2011 to 2017.
