Chris Paquette is the founder and CEO of DeepIntent. Prior to that, they were a data scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. At MSKCC, Chris was responsible for a wide range of data projects targeted to optimize clinical and administrative operations. Chris developed analytical applications against real-time data streams using Kafka, Storm, MongoDB, and Solr. Chris also developed a patient similarity (pSim) scoring algorithm across unstructured and structured data; implemented in Spark on the MSKCC Hadoop Cluster. Additionally, they developed a generalized feature extraction tool for unstructured text documents called "Javelin" which allowed clinicians to explore and identify information-rich, discriminatory concepts/words between collections of text reports. Chris also implemented multiprocessing techniques in python and Hadoop for feature identification. Chris combined statistical algorithms and network graph analysis to identify most discriminatory features. Chris also developed a novel machine learning-based model that predicts treatment outcomes of short-stay surgical patients by working with surgeons and administrators. This model was deployed by building a python-based web API and UI for administrators and clinicians to access patient risk scores. The system was built using UWSGI + NGINX. Chris also designed and deployed Tableau dashboards for administrators to view the underlying patient data. Chris implemented RabbitMQ for message brokering between distributed workloads.
Chris Paquette attended Binghamton University, where they earned a BS in bioengineering.
