Kyriakos Polymenakos

Kyriakos Polymenakos has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Kyriakos is currently working at DeepSea Technologies as a Senior AI Research Engineer. Prior to this, they were a PhD candidate in Machine Learning at the University of Oxford, where their research focused on safe reinforcement learning and policy search. Kyriakos also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Oxford. Additionally, Kyriakos has worked as an AI Researcher at DeepSea Technologies, a Research Intern at Mind Foundry, and a Research Intern at Schlumberger. In these roles, they gained experience in implementing and comparing recommender systems algorithms, collaborating on data analysis prototypes, and conducting research on the use of Bayesian optimization techniques in the drilling industry.

Kyriakos Polymenakos completed their education in chronological order as follows:

From 2015 to 2019, they attended the University of Oxford and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the field of CDT in AIMS - Autonomous Intelligent Machines and Systems.

Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2009 to 2015 at the National Technical University of Athens.

Kyriakos also participated in a 6-month Erasmus Exchange Program at the DTU - Technical University of Denmark in 2011, where they earned an Engineer's Degree.

Kyriakos'shigh school education took place from 2003 to 2009 at St. Paul College in Piraeus.

In addition to their formal education, Kyriakos Polymenakos also obtained several additional certifications. In 2014, they received a certificate for completing the "Control of Mobile Robots" course from the Georgia Institute of Technology, offered through Coursera Course Certificates.
