Bijay Gurung

Bijay Gurung has worked in the field of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence since 2016. Bijay began their career at Fusemachines, where they held the roles of Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, and Software Engineer. In these roles, they were primarily involved in projects such as Time Series Forecasting, Recommendation Systems, and Demand Forecasting. Bijay then moved to the Fuse AI Center for Research and Training in 2019, where they held the roles of Co-Instructor and Assistant Instructor for the Machine Learning course. In 2020, they joined deepset as an Applied NLP Engineer.

Bijay Gurung has a diverse educational background. Bijay completed their high school education at Reliance International Academy in Science in 2011-2013. Bijay then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering at IOE, Pulchowk from 2013-2016. In addition to their degree, they obtained seven certifications from various institutions such as edX, Coursera, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2016 and 2018. Most recently, they completed a Master's degree in Informatik/Computer Science at The University of Freiburg from 2021-2023. Bijay also obtained a Tensorflow Developer Certificate in 2021.
