Danny Luggah, CFA

Danny Luggah, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Danny started their career as a Junior Computer Programmer at KeyCriteria Connect in 2007. Danny then worked as a Project Analyst at Marks and Spencer, where they gained advanced knowledge of MS Excel and was responsible for producing key performance reports.

In 2013, Danny joined Jupiter Fund Management plc as a Derivatives Analyst, becoming proficient in derivative instruments such as CFDs, Futures, Options, and trading OTC derivatives. Danny also collaborated closely with Fund Managers and Senior Directors.

Danny transitioned to a contractor role at Dalton Strategic Partnership LLP in 2017, working directly with the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This experience provided him with exposure and increased responsibilities in a smaller investment management firm, including performance analysis, trade reconciliation, and Beauchamp support.

Later in 2017, Danny became self-employed and worked as a Portfolio Manager/Trader. Managing their own portfolio allowed him to refine their investment process, develop risk management techniques, and gain valuable experience in analyzing investments and holistic portfolio management.

In 2018, Danny served as a Consulting Investment Manager for a Family Office. Here, they worked closely with the family to develop investment strategies aligned with their return and risk preferences, including global fund allocations, single stock selection, income portfolios, and alternative investments.

Danny'smost recent role is as an Investment Consultant at Defaqto, starting in 2019. Danny is recognized as an ESG expert within the organization, conducting comprehensive ESG and sustainability exposure analysis using Sustainalytics and MSCI. Danny also created Defaqto's ESG Reviews, which have been sold to Funds & DFMs, and presented on ESG investing to various teams.

Danny Luggah, CFA attended Cass Business School from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a BSc Hons degree in Investment and Financial Risk Management. Danny also obtained the CFA certification from the CFA Institute in June 2016.
