Katie Brain

Katie Brain has a diverse work experience starting in 2000 as a Branch Sales Consultant at Chelsea Building Society where they generated investment and mortgage leads. Katie then joined Coventry Building Society in 2003 as a Senior Customer Services Advisor, where they were responsible for branch sales targets and managing the branch in the absence of the manager. Katie worked as a Mortgage Adviser at Halifax from 2006 to 2007, advising customers on mortgage options and processing applications. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Mortgage Researcher at Defaqto, researching product information and updating the database. Katie then moved on to the role of Research Manager at Defaqto, where they led and managed teams of researchers to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on financial products. In their most recent role as Insight Analyst at Defaqto, they focused on banking and provided insights and analysis.

Katie Brain pursued their education from 1989 to 1996 at Henry Box in Witney. The specific degree obtained or field of study during this time is unknown. Following this, they enrolled at Leeds Trinity University from 1996 to 1999, where they completed a Joint Honours degree in Psychology and Management.

In addition to their formal education, Katie Brain attained a Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice from the Institute of Financial Services in June 2002. Katie also obtained a Certificate in Regulated Equity Release from The London Institute of Banking & Finance in March 2021.
