Megan O'Meara

Megan O'Meara is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in editorial content development, event coordination, and media relations. Currently serving as a Communications Advisor at Defence Construction Canada since April 2017, Megan leads the production of the bimonthly external corporate newsletter and collaborates with senior leadership on various projects. Prior roles include Communications Coordinator and Administrator at Defence Construction Canada, where responsibilities ranged from organizing national events to producing internal communications. Previous experience includes a Communications Coordinator position at the Caring and Sharing Exchange, where Megan managed all communication needs, as well as media monitoring and communications roles at United Way/Centraide Ottawa. An Honours Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Ottawa and a Social Media Certificate from Algonquin College further complement Megan's professional qualifications.
