Jim Burke MSc IEng MCGI FSOE has extensive experience in engineering and project management within the defense sector, currently serving as the Gateway Project Initiation Operational Delivery Lead at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) since February 2020. Previous roles at DE&S include Principal Support Lead for Type 31 and support lead for New Medium Helicopter and Warrior CSP, among others. Jim's background includes supportability engineering at Allan Webb Ltd and various roles within HM Forces, culminating in a Warrant Officer Class 1 position. Education includes a Master's degree in Engineering and Management from the University of Portsmouth and a Level 7 Senior Award in Leadership and Management from The City and Guilds of London Institute.
