Abdeslem Boukhtouta is a Defence Scientist at Defence Research and Development Canada since November 2000 and has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria and at Concordia University’s Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering from 2021 and 2006 to 2012, respectively. Additionally, Boukhtouta has been an Instructor at TÉLUQ – Télé-université since September 2004 and held the position of Chair for the Scholarships and Fellowships Selection Committee for Computing Sciences at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) in 2013-2014. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Operational Research & Applied Math from Université Laval and Master's and Engineer's degrees in Civil Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke and University of Annaba-Algeria, respectively.
